About An Efficient Home

Welcome handshake to an efficient home

Welcome to An Efficient Home

I am a retired electrical contractor. I am not the most savvy when it comes to all of the efficiency items available for an efficient home today. Back in “the day” only wealthy people could afford extremely efficient components. Today, they seem more readily available and not so hard to implement into an efficient home infrastructure, either by DIY or paying someone to do it.

I am hoping this site becomes as close to a one-stop-and maybe shop (nothing to sell at the moment, beyond what I do know) site – you can help! An efficient home can only get better with input from others

I believe that true efficiency isn’t about sacrificing comfort—it’s about optimizing the way we live, build, and power our spaces. Whether you’re managing a rural homestead, living in the City or its suburbs, if you have or want an efficient home, or simply looking to lower your daily energy footprint, An Efficient Home will hopefully become a practical guide to modern integration.

What We(I) Focus On

  • Smart Energy & Solar Power: Cutting through the technical noise to design reliable photovoltaic arrays, battery storage setups, and resilient electrical systems that keep the lights on no matter what.
  • Everyday Efficiency: Smart ways to optimize heating, cooling, lighting, and everyday appliances to maximize comfort without wasting energy.
  • Practical Conservation: Straightforward tips and upgrades to streamline your household footprint, reduce waste, and make your home run smoother.
